The things this college gets away with, the lies, the threats of dismissal, the constant changing of rules, the zero student advocacy, the no response when you’re in dire straits are only a few to name. Make it through and you’re lucky. Survive the abuse, you’ll need therapy. Then comes when you finish and they refuse to release your grade. You’ll find yourself jumping through one hoop to the next, only to fight for over a month for them to release your grade and paperwork so you can take the NCLEX. go somewhere else, anywhere else!!!!

ReportRating1out of 5Worst employer. Terrible benefits and a toxic workplace culture that tolerates bullying and breeds hostile office culture. If this is what is happening on the administrative side, I can’t imagine what happens on the academic side. I know for a fact that one person within their senior leadership who is unqualified to be in their position and an administrative assistant who acts like they’re a Vice President. All the folks in charge of the college’s diversity events are all white. There is nothing inclusive about this school. Very unprofessional. I feel sorry for the students who attend.

ReportStart Your Review ofLaboure CollegeRate It!Rating2out of 5When I first started at this school I realized there was a great form of miscommunication on THEIR end and I was always reaching out with questions that either went unanswered or was rudely responded to. This semester was a roller coaster of events. UBI Sim was created because we could not attend clinical – it was a waste of money on their end and a joke at the end of the day. Professors were not lenient w/ me despite showing them doctors notes and having medical issues. Professors will not answer emails for over a day. I have to retake a class because I am 1 point off and they are making me pay all over again and will not answer my emails. I shouldn’t have to track down the faculty & there should be some leniency for doing nursing school online due to a pandemic and limited resources, but there is not. I understand everyone will have a different experience that I have had but please look into this school beforehand and I hope you have a better experience than I have!

  • Online Learning

ReportRating2out of 5Laboure is not equipped to handle online professional courses. The prerequisite courses you take before you start the Nursing program went perfectly smoothly. Online professional Nursing classes have not had the same experience. Be prepared to complete an exorbitant amount of busy work. Again, stellar communication from your part is a must to make up for the lack of communication you will receive on Laboure’s end.

ReportRating3out of 5The professors at Laboure are fantastic. It is clear they genuinely care about the students and they value the education that we are receiving, the faults with this school have absolutely nothing to do with them. The communication from within the school is miserable. Schedules change at their whim, schedules are not finalized sometimes until the semester has already started. They make it seem like this is a more flexible program but they have proven they are not. If you have subpar communication skills or are not able to work almost completely self directed this is not the school for you.

ReportRating5out of 5This campus is reasonable, they don’t try to make you take more classes than you should, they take a lot of transfer credits, and the professors and staff are always so willing to help whenever it is possible!

ReportRating5out of 5My experience at Laboure is great. The college has resources in place to help students excel in their nursing courses. For example, Laboure has test taking strategy workshop to help students master nursing questions. Also, tutoring which is offered both in person and online. You cannot go wrong with that. The professors at Laboure are great too. They are professional and devoted to the education of their students.

ReportRating3out of 5Overall all the professors want you to succeed in every subject. For the nursing aspect at Laboure, I find that the professors are really knowledgable about all the topics. They also teach the material in a way that you can fully understand inside and outside the classroom. I also like that there are numerous different resources provided to us so that we can do good academically. One of the math tutors is amazing and really works with you so that you can understand the math however you are comfortable learning it. For the most part the class sizes are okay I would like them to be a bit smaller maybe only 25 students per class so you can really get to know all your classmates / the teachers can really get to know you as well.

ReportRating4out of 5Laboure is a great private school, very small, and very diverse. The class sizes are significantly small, the professors break down content in a way that nursing material is comprehended, and they truly invest their time to promote our success and understanding. A beneficial factor is that this school’s program is year-round, unlike many nursing programs offered. What would take an average nursing student 4 years for their BSN, we are able to complete in 2.5.

I will say the school itself is very disorganized. If you reach out to any of the staff via e-mail/phone call, you will either never receive a response, or it will take days for said response. Extremely frustrating. The other downfall comes with registration. There are very limited numbers of seats per nursing course. You will literally be fighting for a space, only to end up on a waitlist. They don’t offer as many seats per section as there are number of students, which can definitely prolong your time to achieving a degree.

ReportRating1out of 5If you are reading this and considering Laboure for the NDT program, I would urge you to turn and run away as fast as you can. Jacquelyn Polito is undoubtedly the worst instructor/”professional” I’ve ever had to try and deal with. Reaching out to the school itself for help is just as bad, if not worse. Despite the fact that you are the one paying the school to educate you, they will outright dismiss your concerns (and the concerns of numerous students) as unacceptable, even if you provide proof. I cannot imagine the program lasting much longer under Polito’s tutelage. In my class alone I know of at least 2 students who dropped the program as a direct result of Polito’s “teaching”. For what it’s worth, this review is coming from a previous student who absolutely adores the field of NDT. You would have to be a spectacularly bad instructor to chase away students who genuinely love the subject and are excited to pursue it, and that’s what Jacquelyn Polito is.
