Why did Outriders flop? ›

"The Group received no royalties from the publisher for the period to March 31st 2023, which means that as at the reporting date net proceeds from the sale of Outriders were insufficient to recover the costs and expenses incurred by the publisher to develop, distribute and promote the title."

Outriders aint dead, people are just playing the game at different tiers and content or theyre just playing solo to farm specific stuff. I still find people to play during expeditions, usually theyre farming as well for better gear.

This is a full game (not live service), and as such I would say that it's worth it. You can play solo (story and end of game expos and trials). I played many characters solo and spent more than 1000 hours in this game. If you are a completionist, trials might burn you out.

The game, story, concept, gameplay, loot, builds...etc are great but the execution was what led many players to dropping this game which is sad. I highly enjoyed the game but the $40 DLC was what made me stop playing the game, also when they nerfed my week one build it left a bad taste in my mouth.

And if you're looking for more of a middle ground between the two, then put points into the Demolisher tree. The Technomancer is the hardest class to use, primarily because it's geared more towards supporting other players.

The best Outriders class for the early-game and co-op play is the Trickster. The best Outriders class for solo endgame missions is the Technomancer.

Outriders is the good kind of grind - especially if you're into goo-ifying your enemies with a couple of friends.

When focusing on the main objectives, Outriders is about 16½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 63 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

After you beat the final boss, be sure to return to Rift Town and the other previous areas to check out which side quests you may have missed. A lot of the game's most memorable moments come from the game's side quests. Don't miss out on them.
